FAQ’s

Q: What are Company Board Extensions?

A: Company board extensions are the traditional way of adding length to a table. They have arms that slide into slots in the apron at either end of the table.

Q: Will the top be exactly 2" thick?

A: No, the lumber used for the top is 2" thick to start. Sanding and finishing will change the thickness. The table top will range from 1 1/2" to 2" thick.

Q: What are standard finishes?

A: Standard finishes are lightly distressed with gently rubbed edges and have wear spots to create a time worn feel. The paint or stain is then sealed with a satin clear coat for protection.

Q: What are antiqued finishes?

A: Antiqued finishes are more heavily distressed than standard finishes and the wear spots are much more pronounced. They also have nicks, scratches, dings and worm holes adding to their aged feel. The paint or stain also have areas of crackle finish giving it an even more aged appearance. They are also sealed with a satin clear coat for protection.

Q: I'm looking for a more modern look, how should I finish my table?

A: For a more modern look, go with a stained top and painted base or an all painted table. Also go with lighter colors.
